Sham Agents
We are coming across an increasing number of Letting Agents who are flagrantly flouting the law. Landlords must remember that the Agent is their Agent and they are responsible for their actions, and inactions. We are seeing Agents not protecting deposits, allowing arrears build up to thousands of pounds and also, wrongly completed forms and invalid notices. It is absolutely essential, given the law favours the Tenant, that Landlords choose a reputable Letting Agent and get expert legal advice early on.
