Murria Solicitors operate most cases on a "no win no fee" basis and we can act as a nominated representative if you have legal expenses insurance. We can also arrange for "after the event" insurance in the absence of legal expenses insurance.
We know that our clients require clear advice and prompt access to our team. We also know that as well as obtaining maximum compensation, speed in achieving settlement is a priority and we keep our clients fully informed of all steps throughout the case.
How much does it cost?
There is no public funding available for Personal Injury cases anymore. If we are satisfied that you have a good case we will enter into a conditional fee agreement with you and you will not incur any costs. You will receive 100% of your compensation.
How long does it take?
In our experience, in a straight forward Road Traffic Accident where liability is not an issue, settlement occurs in around 6 months. For an accident at work in around 12 months.
I have had an accident, it wasn’t my fault. The other driver’s insurers have written to me saying they will give me compensation but I have to have a medical examination. Should I do so?
No. Instruct your own solicitors to act for you and let the Solicitor gain the best possible settlement for you.
Why are awards of compensation so different?
It all depends on your loss, this includes pain and suffering and financial losses such as not being able to work.
I have been told that I have to use the Solicitor appointed by my insurance company. Is this true?
Generally, you do not have a free choice of Solicitor under Legal Expenses Cover unless the case reaches the point where court proceedings are to be issued. In our experience, however we have found many insurers are prepared to appoint us and you should you not hesitate to contact us in these circumstances.
